REQUIREMENTS:
The mission of the video surveillance system that had to be built was the supervision of the technological processes in the plant, the zones around it, as well as the company’s central office and its adjacent zones. Optimum production transparency had to be secured for guarding purposes, but it would also serve as means of reference to the high professionalism of the company before its partners. We had to make records covering a long period of time and provide access to the system to the person in charge of the security control. The remoteness between the central office and the production facilities aroused the need of establishing a wireless high speed connection over 5 kilometers distance.

SOLUTION:
In order to meet the client’s requirement, MAVEN developed a security concept for Slancho. It includes the positioning of various IP AXIS cameras, megapixel and HDTV, each of them fulfills a particular functions and is chosen specially for its spot. The infrastructure that will be used by the video surveillance was designed for the purposes of the system itself, and the utilized Cisco devices are of professional class. Integrated Milestone XProtect Professional software operates the IP cameras. It enables the system to be used from any point with local and Internet connection. The software stores the recorded video material in a cluster of servers built for this particular purpose. The servers can provide accurate checkups on past events.

RESULT:
Following the building of the system we secured incessant high quality video surveillance within the production facilities which makes possible the optimization of the working processes. The security personnel are equipped with powerful instruments for checkups and control of all people and vehicles entering or leaving the facilities. The wireless high speed connection between the two locations saved considerable expenses that would be otherwise spent on cable laying. The system remains open to the introduction of new devices and functionalities, and the ambition is that more processes get automated, which will lead to decrease of expenses and efficiency boost.
